1. Agreement

By creating a calMOG account or using the service, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use calMOG.

calMOG is operated by calMOG Team as an independent project rather than a registered company, and is provided free of charge.

2. Who can use it

calMOG is intended for university and college students managing their own coursework. You must be at least 13 years old. You're responsible for anything that happens under your account, including keeping your password to yourself.

3. AI extraction is a convenience, not a source of truth

This is the most important term here, so it is stated plainly: AI-extracted deadlines, weights, and policies may be incomplete, misdated, or simply wrong.

calMOG is designed around that reality. Extracted items arrive as pending suggestions, each shown with a confidence level and the exact snippet it came from, and nothing appears on your calendar until you confirm it. That review step is yours to perform, and it exists because the extraction cannot be trusted blindly.

Your official course syllabus and your instructor remain the authoritative source for every date and grading rule. calMOG accepts no responsibility for a missed deadline, a misread weight, an incorrect policy, or any academic consequence arising from relying on it. Please verify anything that affects your grade.

4. Your content

You keep all rights to the syllabi and academic data you put into calMOG. You grant only the permission needed to run the service: to store your files, extract text from them, and — when you ask for it — send that text to the AI provider described in the Privacy Policy so it can be processed back into structured items.

You are responsible for having the right to upload what you upload. Don't upload material you have no right to, and don't upload documents containing sensitive personal information about yourself or anyone else.

5. Acceptable use

Please don't:

  • Attempt to access another user's account, data, or uploaded files.
  • Probe, scan, or attack the service or the infrastructure behind it.
  • Work around the rate limits or usage quotas, automate uploads, or otherwise drive up processing costs deliberately.
  • Upload malicious files, or content that is unlawful or infringing.
  • Resell, rebrand, or offer calMOG as your own service.

Usage quotas exist because AI processing costs real money, paid out of pocket. They may be adjusted without notice to keep the service sustainable.

6. Availability

calMOG is offered as is and as available, with no uptime commitment. It is a small independent project: it may be slow, temporarily broken, changed, or discontinued at any time, and features may be added or removed without notice.

Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose. The “Export my data” button in Settings exists for exactly this reason, and using it periodically is a good idea.

7. No warranty

To the fullest extent permitted by law, calMOG is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, calMOG Team will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, nor for any loss of data, missed deadlines, academic penalties, or lost opportunities arising from your use of calMOG.

Since calMOG is provided free of charge, no monetary damages are payable.

Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

9. Ending your use

You can delete your account at any time from Settings, which permanently removes your data and uploaded files. Your access may be suspended or removed if you breach these terms or put the service at risk.

10. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated; the “last updated” date above will reflect it. Continuing to use calMOG after a change means you accept the revised terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
